My business is a family-run business, TAGLIENTE. Since 2018, the baton has been passed to me, the youngest daughter, TAGLIENTE ANTONELLA, who renamed the business "LACASEDDHA." For three generations, she has managed olive groves for extra virgin olive oil in Puglia, and arable crops for two generations.
The olive grove property is approximately 50 hectares, with approximately 200 trees per hectare, ranging in age from 50 to 500 years.
In normal production, I'm currently on 20 hectares. We've completely uprooted about 30 hectares, replanting 10 hectares 5 years ago with olive trees that aren't yet in production. The others, unfortunately, are used for grains and vegetables.
